Obama Won
Ok. But how exciting is this?
"If you think you are going to bring about social change by clicking a (computer) mouse or signing an online petition or going to a black tie dinner, you are wrong. If you really want change you've got to work — build committees, build allies, build coalitions." - Cleve Jones

I like how they were able to walk around and Obama was all chill and floated across the room whereas McCain was all stooped over and you can just imagine him walking with a cane. It was a slam dunk for me throughout though I was uneasy about how Obama was a little too tough on Pakistan and Iran because I am all about unilateral action. Maybe he did that for the Joe Sixpacks but I didn't appreciate it.
So what do you think about the LA NOW chick opening for Palin?
I don't know about the LA NOW chick news. I've been in arbitration for my job, so a bit tied up.
I'll look it up, but please give us a link if you can. It makes no sense that a NOW woman would back Palin unless she read that Starbuck's cup and took it to heart.
As for McCain looking like he needs a cane, the absolute homophonic euphony of that was pointed out tonight.
I was so glad that I wasn't near a TV during the debate and could only listen to a radio. I can't deal with McCain's damn smirk, and hearing it in his voice was bad enough.

They closed the comments down early because they had so many replies. I found out about Mandell's speech for Palin and I thought, "WTF?" so I went to the CA NOW website and saw that NOW does not support that ticket by reading this article. Still boggles my mind that anyone in NOW would vote for the McC and P ticket. But I wonder, is it possible to be a feminist and a Republican? Maybe. Can you be a feminist and pro-life? Maybe. Can you proclaim to be Christian and pro-life and be trigger happy? That I do not think so.
I am not in LA anymore but if I was, I might have sent an email to voice my concerns. Since I am in Austin, I will just vent on your blog.
Terry Gross actually interviewed someone on Fresh Air just the other day who had written a book about conservative feminists. Here's a link to the segment.
it wouldn't hold my wok.
Ed, thanks for being on point. You could hang your wok from the ceiling.
