Trained to Disassemble

O.K., Robin, here's what he said when asked about the Amnesty International report:

"It's an absurd allegation. The United States is a country that promotes freedom around the world. We've investigated every single complaint against the detainees. It seemed like to me they based some of their decisions on the word of and the allegations by people who were held in detention, people who hate America, people that had been trained in some instances to disassemble --— that means not tell the truth. And so it was an absurd report."

This is why I haven't watched a press conference or union address since he's been in office. It's not that I'm unwilling to hear opposing opinions--I just can't STAND the way he talks.

No disassemble! The hilarious thing is that dictionary.com's word of the day for Monday was dissemble. Do you think maybe Bush, in his ongoing pursuit of fluency in the English language, had diligently read his 'word of the day' email, in is haste mistaking the word for something a little more familiar, and then promptly decided to dazzle the free world with a display of his newfound erudition?
