Should We Move?
Our neighborhood is getting rough. Our next door neighbor has been robbed at gunpoint twice this year right outside our building.
Elias's brother says we should move.
My mom says we should get a shotgun. She says at close range, shotguns can do some major damage. Today, I saw this link from kotke.com, and I'm leaning towards getting armed. It's sick, I know. It'll pass.

I say move rather than get a gun. Too many accidents with armed guns.
DON'T GET A GUN!!!!
Uh...move. Didn't the robberies happen OUTSIDE your house? In which case, you would need to get two guns, one for each of you, and concealed weapon permits for both so y'all can carry heat where you need it. Sounds like once you're in your house, you're safe. Maybe you could also arm the dogs with lasers too.
I vote move, closer to Berkeley.
Move closer to Berkeley or around the Lake Shore area in Oakland. I know rent is more expensive in those areas though. But you guys need to live in place where you not only feel safe inside, but also feel safe outside.
Good luck. I did like your current home...
screw Berkeley and those fancy schmancy places. I say you get a piece, get some ear plugs and go shooting together. It could be one more thing to share together. Just don't become Raiders fans, then I will have to stop talking to you
uh, yes...probably a good idea to move. get a gun too, though! guns are fun. well-considered households such as yours are not the homes with the retarded accidents. it's truly time to arm up given the hostile turns against personal freedoms taken by the feds in recent years. your uterus wants you to protect it with a gun and a vote.
This must be tongue in cheek?
You could not possibly be considering purchasing a weapon for protection (maybe fun, target shooting) but protection?
I say move. Now that I have moved up in the world - from rough Pasadena where I would lull myself to sleep by the sound of the helicopters to serene Sierra Madre where I'm surrounded by wacky tree huggers and only a few neo-conservatives - I'm so for moving to a nicer neighborhood.
Anyway you and Elias and your two dogs should not be contribtuting to the gentrification of poor neighborhoods - MOVE.
If you buy a gun, I will have to boycott you. Don't get me wrong I believe in the right to have one because I'm afraid of the Bush Regime but as a utopian idealist - let's just say I don't even like my kids playing with water guns.
I need to get your email address so that I don't have to post unrelated links in your comments.
this is for your bruddah.

Denny Crane wouldn't move, he'd just get a shotgun and defend his home
