Bummed Out on Rainy Friday Afternoon
This story makes me sad.
"If you think you are going to bring about social change by clicking a (computer) mouse or signing an online petition or going to a black tie dinner, you are wrong. If you really want change you've got to work — build committees, build allies, build coalitions." - Cleve Jones

me too. on thursday last week, martin ludlow was emceeing all the events around the launch of the hotel workers' contract campaign - including a huge 1000 plus person rally, and doing a pretty good job, i thought. then, this...
If the allegations are true, i wonder how ludlow could have been so dumb as to go along with something like that..
i'm also curious about how the investigators got the information. it might have all started when local 99 was trusteed..i think partly because of the union president's involvement in all this - but, who knows??
by the way, how are you doing up there, and on the job?
i've been meaning to give you a call
You've summed it up well. How could he or any union, trusteed or not, do such dumb stuff?
I'm fine. Still settling in to my new union job.
i just watched the final, fiery fall from glory on the evening news. truly depressing.
did you know that Bishop Blake was his father-in-law? I didn't.
still speaking of martin ludlow, this - from the wave - was linked to la observed...it's way over the top, i think, but here it is anyway
