Go See This Movie

Elias's friend Jud sent this email message:

An excerpt:

"In 39 years, I have never written these words in a movie review, but here they are: You owe it to yourself to see this film. If you do not, and you have grandchildren, you should explain to them why you decided not to.

Am I acting as an advocate in this review? Yes, I am. I believe that to be "impartial" and "balanced" on global warming means one must take a position like Gore's. There is no other view that can be defended. Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), chairman of the Senate Environment Committee, has said, "Global warming is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people." I hope he takes his job seriously enough to see this film. I think he has a responsibility to do that."

I agree.

Me too. The movie was amazing, and I'm so scared for our planet! Elias is sad we got stuck with Bush. Check out the website and go see it yourself.

we are gonna be screwed - were all gonna die!

I think that's just the way of the universe in a million years there will be life again unless our sun dies and we get sucked into a black whole. We gotta some time some way. But I hate big greedy corporations that are speeding up the process while they live high the hog.

Dear LA Ladies: Accordning to Al Gore, the LA area will be under water. Lucy, you're only in luck if they sell homes on oil platforms.

Ebert and Roeper gave this film two thumbs up though the latter said you have to take Gore's predictions with a grain of salt, he might be especially off on the timeline of his doom and gloom forecasts- still, global warming is real and a huge problem for our planet. Hopefully your future children can do something about it. Since I ain't having any, I am not including myself in that plan.

Gloom and doom, gloom and doom...blah, blah, blah. Life is already hard enough without the whole 'the world is coming to an end.' But really, the world will be fine, we(humans)just won't be around anymore. maybe that's for the best, since we seem to f up everything. it's funny how we put things: there's no way WE could destroy earth...we're only really just destrpying ourselves.

Dinosaurs became extinct - did we have anything to do with that?

Here's a cheery thought - Sheff and Elias are in love.
