Last night John Stewart talked about this Republican running for office in Virginia. Maybe we can take back the Senate and the House in November.

I hate to be pessimistic, but this guy will probably get elected. We live in the good ol' US of KKK. I am not going to get excited about a huge Democratic turn in Nov (how MUCH better are they than the Republicrats anyway?), I still remember the last election in which "America" couldn't possibly re-elect Bush II (and they probably didn't). This country is in trouble and all I can say is 'Lord have mercy.'
"Mercy, mercy, mercy....Lord have mercy on our blood-drenched racist ways and help us vote inside our common human interests instead of against them, Amen."
(I'm working on getting this worked into standard liturgical prayer in America)
as jon stewart pointed out, it's not clear whether the comment will help or hurt him - what with it being in virginia and all.
Racist prick - it's really sad that I'm not shocked-- I mean our president recently enumerated his black friends.
Roght now I am more disgusted that the Miss Teen USA pageant crowned a girl who defined integrity as meaning "driven" (and don't ask why I was watching -curiosity mostly- I only watched the question part and the end) - of course she's blond and perky --http://www.missteenusa.com/missteenusa/index.html -- and I'm sure none of the judges have any clue what integrity means --
one dictionary defines it as "steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code" - so I guess she got part of it right, but not the important part- maybe I was more disgusted with her blond perkiness.
ANYWAY - at this point the lesser of two evils is really important when the Evil so Evil-- Even if the Dems are not all that much better, they're still better so get out there and VOTE - PLEASE, pretty please with sugar on top and a cherry.
