"If you think you are going to bring about social change by clicking a (computer) mouse or signing an online petition or going to a black tie dinner, you are wrong. If you really want change you've got to work — build committees, build allies, build coalitions." - Cleve Jones

i'm glad i just put down a deposit on an apartment in the 4th most "perilous" city in the US. It makes me feel so dangerous and alive - LA was getting really played out for me, it's time for a change of pace.
There's danger everywhere in Oaktown, except maybe in the football field. The Raiders couldn't scare a HS team
Gee, that's exciting. Are you sure that's the place you want to raise your dogs?
What are Kathy's thoughts on this article?
What are anonymous's thoughts? That's what I'm thinking about. Also, I hope to continue to avoid crime and appreciate the people here. There really is a lot to love about Oakland.
It's Hammer Time!
A few times when I visited with K, she seemed pretty well equipped to handle life in No. 4. :
1) Honked and yelled at police officers that were hassling this guy.
2) Honked at everyone that was committing a traffic violations (but she states this is due to a recent car accident that has left her somewhat nervous - I think K thinks eveyrone should just get out of her way).
3) Expert shopper at Big Lots.
4) Pretty much hates having to go into San Francisco even when her buds are visiting from outta town.
I think she;s a No. 4 kinda girl.
