More Proof That I Moved North
I've started getting acupuncture for lower back pain. Today, I also had a cupping treatment. Elias thinks that cupping is like leaching, and he's not sure he buys it. I expect full back bliss in two weeks, or I'll join Elias's camp.
8 Added Something:
last year i had a guy drill a hole in my head to let the demons out. although i don't hear voices anymore, the side effects are pretty bad. i kinda wish i knew about this cupping thing a year ago.
Ed, you should have had more trepidation about trepination. Ha ha.
I just witnessed some wince-worthy korean acupuncture the other day.
Dude rolled his ankle and it got mad swollen. Mom brought acuncturist to his house to a) sting his ankle four times with live bees, b) jab at stung leg with a pin-point knife, c) do that cupping thing to suck out all the bad blood. Within an hour he was walking again.
I stand in awe of my eastern heritage.
Lucy: Wow, sounds like child abuse to me. (Don't take this comment the wrong way, k?)
Cloudy: Yes, I have scars. Elias doesn't think they're cool.
Anna: It's hard for me to believe you. Also, it sounds like child abuse to me. (Don't take this comment the wrong way, k?)
*sits on hands*
*says nothing*
child abuse? what about those bees?? they gave their little lives so a man could walk!
Does it hurt?
K if you have chronic back pain - it's chronic it don't getter in a week. I know I fell off horse 20 year ago and still get sore back when standing too much. Do you have radiating pain - if so you should get checked for a pinched nerve. I know these things my sister is a chiropractor.
OH FORGOT -
WATCH WALKOUT ON HBO. It's about the student walkouts in 1968 of East L.A highschools- directed by James Edward Olmos. It's good. http://www.hbo.com/events/walkout/index.html
One problem: it premieres during your party. Theyll show it again.
