Updates

Whew! I've been busy busy busy lately. I'm trying to wrap up and catch up before I take a break for the holidays. Even so, right now, I'm super grateful about working for a union. I get 5 weeks of vacation a year plus "Christmas Week!" I don't have to dip into my vacation days just to spend much needed time with my family and loved ones. Yeah!

Elias sits for his Orals this week. Please send him good, positive vibes. Also, his brother and sister-in-law are due to have a baby this week. Yeah!

Finally, I'm working on my New Year List. You know, my predictions and INs and OUTs for 2008. I predict that Oprah will adopt a child and take on motherhood. I also think that Qigong and Tai Chi will pop up, all over the place, as alternatives to Yoga. Be on the look out for my List. Also, feel free to suggest things now.

Update to the Updates: As expected, Elias passed his oral examination. I think that makes him ABD. Yeah!

Here are lots of good thoughts for Elias as he takes his orals tomorrow, for Jason and Sonja as they wait for the baby to arrive and for you as you finish up your work. Looking forward to seeing all of you soon.

I miss getting together in your old Pasadena house around the new year and making "In & Out" lists...

You are so right about TaiChi...

Congrats to Elias. I have no idea what orals are for, but they sound important. Meanwhile, I have been submersed in a world of tests and work and freelance writing. I am barely going to start enjoying the season tomorrow when I officially go on vacation. Did I miss "A Wonderful Life"!!
P.S. I also have an in and out list for 2008 but it mostly deals with comic books (what else??)
