Niceness From Oakland

I took my mom to the new cathedral in Oakland. It's quite a sight with all its glass, metal, wood, concrete, and light.

The Omega presents this image of Jesus that comes about because of light coming through aluminum panels pierced with 94,000 holes

The ceiling presents one of many fishy shapes repeated throughout the cathedral. You can see the wood built up the slanted walls that meet up with more aluminum panels on the ceiling. All the surfaces are designed to bring in appropriate amounts of light.
