More On My So Called Life

Super M accused me of falling into to a tired habit of tracking my man's interests. She may have a point.

Over the weekend, Elias signed us on to World Cup activities with our friends Sacha and Juan. For the viewing parties, Sacha and I have been invited to cook foods that share nationalities with the teams playing. Maybe we can't do it for the Ivory Coast, but I'm kind of down for takeout whenever possible. Sacha and I can deposit takeout bags in front of the men and go on shopping trips.

TV News

We're in NBA playoffs in the Sheffienger home, and I can't tell you how many series have gone to game 7! Now Elias is boning up for the World Cup so we'll be watching games and Sports Center every day through Labor Day.

But all is well in my world. Tomorrow, So You Think You Can Dance is coming back!

Car Shopping

I'm looking for a new (used) car. In response to my inquiry about a Toyota, I received the following:

If you want to buy it I will need your full name and address for the delivery.I want to inform you that after you give me these information I will delivery the package through Fedex. When the shipping will start I will give you a copy scaned I received from Fedex to see that the delivery for the car to you.Immediately i will send you this, you must send me a down payment. If in 3 hours you don't send me the money I can stop the process of delivery for the case you are not a serious buyer . In 5 hours the shipping starts the delivery can't be stoped anymore. When the car will arrive to your place, you will send me the rest amount, If you don't like the car or is something wrong with it you send it back to me and I pay you back the money. I hope to finish this deal.

I just wanted to know a good time to come see it!

Looking Forward to Leisure

When the school year is over, I am hoping to get less calls after 9:00 p.m. from stressed out teachers. I'm hoping to survive the play offs, take a vacation, and see movies.

I'm still not sure whether I want to support Tom Cruise's craziness and see MI-III in the theater or not. I read that he did promo work for the movie in Aberdeen, WA, an economically depressed logging town miles away from anywhere. My mom used to live 20 miles from Aberdeen on the coast of Washington. When staying with my mom, I'd go "into town" in Aberdeen. I saw Total Recall at its now defunct drive-in theater, and my only Wal-Mart purchases have been in that town.

Today's Events

Happy May Day!

In support of immigrants, we're supposed to boycott work, school, and commerce if we can. Also, we've been asked to wear white and show up at demonstrations that are being held nation-wide.

Looking for events in your neighborhood?

In the bay area, go to the Bay Area Immigrants Rights Coalition website. Or check out events in Los Angeles and Seattle.

Have fun!

[Post Script: Big ups to my buddies who care and provided relevant posts today. Way to go H17, Xui, and Dirty Dan!]
